The Change Conference is an annual gathering in Toronto organized by the Canadian Youth Network. The “event” is a resource to area youth ministries, offering a one night Evangelism Night and a full-day for Leadership Development of young emerging leaders. These two offerings sound like they do not fit together in one gathering, but we have figured out a way to bookend these important elements of discipleship to resource our local churches in these very important areas that they are sorely lacking.

The Friday Night Change offers a “Gathering” for youth groups to bring their unchurched friends to a concert style venue which includes a speaker to deliver a clear message of the gospel. We raise finances to do our best to make this viable for ALL to attend - we believe in the importance of this gathering! We are getting 2000 - 3000 in attendance each year. The crowd comes from youth ministries in and around the greater Toronto area. This night has become an annual venue for many to bring their friends to hear a evangelistic message. It might be the first time they have come or heard a message from the Bible; therefore we are looking for a communicator that understands the “current culture” but also clearly communicates the gospel message of Jesus. This year we have invited Bruxy Cavey (The Meeting House) as the communicator and are pleased to announce the addition of the band “Kutless” as the headliner for the Friday night. The opening band will be After the Anthems from Owen Sound, Ontario

The Saturday Conference is intended to be a catalyst for youth ministry leadership being offered to students at all levels of their discipleship journey (new believers thru core students, youth leaders and 20-30’s). It is about inspiring and empowering students, young adults and leaders to step up to a new level of commitment to authenticity in knowing Christ and leading this next generation to follow with them. In the past we have had other communicators like Chris Seay, Louie Giglio, Erwin McManus, some home-grown Canadians Bruxy Cavey and Mark Buchanan and patriarchs like Bruce Wilkinson and Henry Blackaby. For 2009, the keynote communicators will be Kary Oberbrunner (author of The Fine Line form Columbus, Ohio) , Todd Bender (Director of City Kidz, Hamilton) and Brett Ullman (renowned speaker from Worlds Apart). We are thrilled to have these gifted communicators along with Matt Tapley leading worship and focus group leaders... Amie Sider, Natalie Armstrong, Mark Wallace, Carl Nash and more!
